I rushed and made the mistake of trying to draw on my lap. I kept wondering why I was having difficulty adjusting my pressure with the pen. I basically feather to build up layers of tone. My initial marks were too dark. Fortunately, this was done on a copy of the original. I will give it another go on the drawing board.
I am an artist under the guise of a health information specialist. I am ready for a change. Perhaps I will find myself doing freelance work in another city. I am looking to attend some artist workshops in the near future. Currently, I am doing portraits at night and working on a new portfolio of art work.
